Damia was born on January 6, 1971 to Dale and Morgan Adrian in Cocoa Beach, FL. From and early age their oldest daughter proved to be very inquisitive. They enrolled Damia at West Melbourne Elementary School for Science.
Just before she started High School the family relocated to San Diego CA where she attended Mission Bay Senior High School.
One of her extracurricular activities was competitive swimming. Damia's grades and talent allowed her to graduate early which as a good thing because she needed more of a challenge academically.
When it came to choosing a college Damia had a tough time deciding since several university's accepted her. After a lot of thought MIT was her top choice. Due to her independent nature she chose to join the Coast Guard Reserves. Initially she served as an Aviation Survival Technician In 1992 Damia graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Physics.
After completing OCS she moved back to San Diego as part of her new assignment as a Coast Guard Helicopter pilot. A year and a half later Damia received a transfer to a unit based in Hawaii, where she finished off her enlistment. It was a great experience for her but she'd decided it was time to move onto other things.
During her tenure in Hawaii she met and fell in love with Devan Haikana under unusual circumstances. For her first six months there Damia found herself assigned to a joint Coast Guard, FBI and DEA task force to bring down a major drug ring. Devan was one of the FBI Agents also assigned to the task force.
Damia entered grad school at UC Irvine and this time chose to focus her studies in the field of Criminology. Just prior to her final year she was accepted as a Cadet at the Sierra Falls Police Academy. Because of this the final year of her Master's degree was completed by Correspondence Courses.
Initially Damia served as a Patrol officer. While it was a good start to her career she really wanted to become a CSI. At her earliest opportunity she took and passed her Detective's exam and moved into the Criminal Investigations Detective Bureau, the first step on her chosen career path.
Two years later she transferred to Sierra Falls CSI unit, which was a natural move given her innate talent for Crime Scene Investigation. Only a year ago Damia was married to Raiden. Though she took and passed her Sergeant's exam shortly after her honeymoon, Damia's actual change of position from CSI to CSI Supervisor was put hold temporarily due to the unexpected news of expecting twins.
Forced to go on medical leave a bit early due to some complications, Damia's first two children arrived sooner than expected. Just recently Damia returned from maternity leave and became a CSI Supervisor for SFPD
