Background |
Born in June 2nd 1982 to Paul and Janice Bennet, she was
christened two months later with Paul's closest friend, Robert Tao a
professor at Boston University and his wife being her god parents.
Christine was fourteen months old when her parents both perished in a
car accident. A pre-arranged agreement between the Bennets and the
Taos stated if anything happened to them then Robert and his wife
would become Christine's legal guardians.
Robert, his wife Susan, and son Nathan grew an instant liking for the
child they took in and treated her as if she was their own. A
Caucasian growing up in an Asian family was a difficult experience
for Christine to face and she found out the Tao's were not her real
parents at age five. At such a young age she did not fully understand
but as she grew older it began to sink in that while she was brought
up and loved by the Tao's she was not one of them.
Christine thought of herself as an outcast within the community the
family while she was treated as a real sister by her brother. This
feeling made Christine an average student at school as she constantly
wanted to know what her real family was like. This trend continued
right up until the 11th grade when she went with her family on a trip
around the world. This trip finally broke her shell and she saw
herself as one of her family instead of an outcast. The spark of her
fire had been lit, Christine decided not to let her past conquer her
future and sought to achieve everything she wanted in life with the
full support of her family. She made the decision to legally
change her last name from Bennet to Tao if only as a formality to be
fully a part of the family that loved her. The new look on life sent
her to Sierra Falls along with her family after her father accepted
the Dean position at the California University in Sierra Falls.
Studying Psychology for two years, Christine felt held back and
wanted something more exciting in her life. Originally she intended
to join the Air Force but instead she went into the SFPD continuing
her studies on a part time basis. Much to the displeasure of her
adoptive father who wanted her to continue with an education and not
go play cops and robbers.
Entering the academy she found the SFPD to be what she had always
wanted in life. Graduating and being sent to South Beach as a patrol
officer. It proved to be both fun and boring for her as she yearned
for excitement and action but was met with traffic duties far below
what she expected to be an exciting career. Officer Tao was
eventually taken aside by her supervisor who took the young officer
under his wing to show her that while not being wild chases and
extreme shootouts she could make a career out of it and make the most
of it.
After her first year she continued a good friendship both working and
personal with her mentor who advanced off the field and into a
Lieutenant's office. Christine took and passed the detective's exam
and not long after was proposed to by her boyfriend and mentor
Lieutenant Vince Waldren. Christine accepted and enjoyed what was the
highest point in her life when five days after they became engaged
Vince was killed in a shootout at the airport.
Her life as she believed it was over, the loss struck her deeply and
she withdrew from her friends and family but refused to take a leave
of absence. After four months of agony Christine herself was
confronted with a dangerous situation, on a routine patrol she
confronted an armed bank robber, with her weapon drawn she hesitated
and could not bring herself to shoot him despite him being an
immediate danger to bystanders and herself. Christine as a result was
shot twice by the man when she shot back only by reflex wounding him
in the leg.
Responding officers found her on the ground only to tare open her
uniform to see the bullets didn't make it past her Kevlar vest.
Awakened to how life was, Christine decided to make the most of it
and from that day lived every second of her life and not wasting it.
In mid 2005, Officer Christine Tao made the front page of every
newspaper in Sierra Falls when she ran into an apartment building
that was on fire and rescued a trapped teenage girl. For this action
she was rewarded the medal of courage.
A year later she took and passed the sergeants exam and declined a
promotion another year later in favour of transferring to CIDB.

Personlity Profile |
Christine is a talkative person who is outgoing
and is generally smiles all around. Her idea of a night out usually
goes well on into the morning as well. A firm believe in `Live Every
Moment' she loves anything that is adrenaline pumping like sky diving
or is an active outdoors activity like rock climbing. Yet despite her
lust of adventure Christine also shows a quieter side by also being a
lover of the performing arts.
At work she always tries to remain professional and attempts mostly
unsuccessfully to not make the same mistakes twice, she is also
afraid of confrontational situations as she has a tendency to lock up
and hesitate when things become heated. During work hours Christine
tries to keep a positive mental attitude even in the worst of
situations. She is also hard worker and likes to continually learn
and develop herself, she strives to know everything even though she
knows she will not.
Christine hates the cinema in favour of live stage shows. She is
obsessive with her exercise routine and never misses a moment of it.
She is also a family person and treats her adoptive family as if it
were her real one. When Christine gets worked up or angry she is like
a runaway freight train of doom. Amongst her fears include being
afraid of heights.

Physical Profile |
A lightly built Caucasian. Very fit looking due to
her constant obsession to work out and get plenty of exercise. While
her fitness remains to high standards Christine is not of muscular
build and does not look really threatening. She is one who looks
after her physical appearance greatly. She has finally decided to
keep her hair short so it doesn't get in the way and isn't hard to
style.
On duty she maintains a clean appearance to one within department
standards and dresses like a tomboy but when she is off duty she
likes to let her hair flow loosely and wear skirts, dresses and high
heels and maintain a feminine appearance but she also is known for
wearing a leather jacket and jeans on her days off when she is not
going out.
Christine has a tattoo on her back of a dragon
